Learning to ride

When students are ready to make the big step to buy a horse our KJM instructors can help you locate and purchase a horse that's right for you. KJM has had many years of experience selecting safe, sound, and sane horses and negotiating the purchase of horses that best fit each rider's needs and capabilities. Along with finding your perfect equine partner, KJM can also market and sell horses for our clients.

Below are some of the horses currently for sale at our facility.

Rockefeller

Rockefeller is a 16.1hh 12 year old TB gelding."Nelson" is seen here in the 3 foot hunters, but would excel in both the jumper and equitation rings. Nelson will easily move up to the 3'6" and possibly higher. He is a straight forward and easy ride with an auto lead change. Nelson was reserve champion in the state of Oklahoma in the 3 foot low hunter devision for 2009. The perfect horse for someone who is ready to try out the jumper ring! Christopher Robin

photoChristopher Robin, "Quincy" is an adorable, fancy 14h red dun Quarter Pony gelding. Extremely quiet and laid back, Quincy is perfect for beginners or a timid rider, yet stout enough to carry smaller adults. He is a perfect short/long stirrup-and-up hunter show pony who is easy to work with and uncomplicated to ride. A fancy mover for the show ring with excellent form over fences, Quincy is ridden regularly in lessons with some of our beginner students. Schooled in preliminary dressage, he willingly performs leg yields, turns on forehand/haunches, shoulder in/haunches in, etc. He has a sensitive mouth, moves off your leg well - an ideal trail horse who crosses water, drags logs and sidepasses to gates. Our farrier and vet love him. He is also a dream to clip, tie, ground tie, bathe, and unaffected by all sorts of distractions. In the past he has been ridden western and been roped off of. Quincy is current on all shots, wormers, coggins, and shoes. Video available. For more information, please contact Karen.
